About Us

What is the Democratic Club of Santa Maria Valley?

Democrats have a strong voice in the Santa Maria Valley. The Democratic Club of Santa Maria Valley (DCSMV) is chartered by the Santa Barbara County Democratic Central Committee. The DCSMV informs the voting public of the important issues that promote Santa Maria as a family-friendly community. Our members are motivated to advance a progressive platform. The progressive voices are becoming more active and understood.

Democrats have a clear appreciation for unions, public education, and the environment.  Providing reliable information and facts before going to the voting polls are some of the goals of the DCSMV.

When the leaders of today are spending taxpayer monies illegally to create fake news, our defense is to provide informed views. DCSMV organizes methods of bringing this information to our community and reaches out into the community to bring the voter back to the booth. Like-minded volunteers who work in the Democratic Headquarters and in the community are facilitating the DCSMV to accomplish its goals.

DCSMV members have become more active and energized. To learn about the Democratic Club, join us for a fun and informed discussion the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at the Democratic Headquarters, 11:30 am for our Brown Bag Lunch or come to one of our regular monthly meetings the third Thursday of the month at the IHOP Restaurant, 202 S. Nicholson Ave. (near U.S. 101 and East Main St.) at 7:00 pm (dinner optional at 6:00 pm). The Democratic Headquarters office hours are Monday thru Friday 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
